I've Poured Into Others
...for the last 3 years. I poured so much I left nothing for myself.
We are taught to believe that taking care of ourselves is selfish.
And so we give, give, and give until we lose ourselves.
I worried about disappointing people. I lost sleep over what people have said.
I deliberated if I deserved it all. And I KNOW I am not alone.
As female leaders we have a tremendous responsibility…
To be the One for ourselves, first.
To pour from a cup that is overflowing.
Not to ration the little we have left to give
You are worthy of leading from a place of high integrity to yourself first.
But you already know that. You just haven’t figured out a way to do it yet that feels aligned for you.
I get it. I was the same.
